Arsenal managed to finally ended their poor form by getting a crucial away victory at Bloomfield road. Blackpool were in a relegation fight before kick-off and it showed in their play. They were nervy at times and Arsenal took advantage of it in the 18th minute when Abou Diaby scored the goal. Arsenal’s goal soon doubled when Emmanuel Eboue scored a few minutes later. However, Gary Taylor-Fletcher got the goal that prevailed Blackpool’s hopes, but a goal from Robin van Persie on the 72nd minute finally killed off any hopes of a comeback.
